The Continental Championships are organised by the Namibian Cycling Federation and Rock and Rut MTB Club under the responsibility of Confederation of Afrcan Cycling (CAC) in agreement with the International Cycling Union (UCI)

Participation and Quota UCI Categories

According to 10.1.005 All National Federations affiliated to their Continental Confederation, and only these, can take part in Continental Championship races.

The maximum number of riders taking part in the various races will be the same for all these Federations.

All competitors are required to wear approved National Team Kit during competition.

Entry to all the UCI Categories will be through respective National Federations only using approved entry forms.

The following quota per National Federation will be applied:

XCO Events: 5 per country per category    Important Clarification on Elite & Under 23 Categories

Points Scale & Prizes

UCI Ranking points will be awarded according to UCI Regulations

No Prize money will be awarded.

Winners will receive  a trophy and medal.Top 3 position will receive trophies.

CAC African Continental Champion jerseys will be awarded to the UCI category winners.


Feed/Technical Zone

There will be a double right hand feed/technical zone on the XCO course for accredited team support staff.

Anti Doping

UCI Anti doping rules will be applicable. The anti-doping tests are conducted after the end of the race at the venue.

All athletes must comply with the regulations and anti-doping procedures.
